General Anesthesia vs. Local Anesthesia for Facelift Surgery

They say having just local anesthesia during surgery (Facelift surgery) is better because Local Anesthesia can reduce the risk of complications associated with general anesthesia and recovery time may be shorter and less severe compared to general anesthesia. But is it better?
