I just saw one of The Med Chat’s posts on Facebook which talks about FAT having memory. This is the first time I heard of this and I am very much interested since I have been planning to get my BBL (Butt Lift) using fat from my belly transferred to my butt.

Since the fat from my tummy is the first to get bigger when I eat a lot, is it right to say that when I eat a lot after my BBL, my butt will even grow larger? I would like that 🙂 but is this safe? Or should I be worried?

Has anyone out there just learned about this too? Or did someone out there have this conversation with a plastic surgeon? I would love to hear from you.

Yes. I believe fat has memory and also there are a limited number of fat cells in our body and when we remove them they never come back.

So it is very important to watch our weight after liposuction because remaining fat cells can grow and those fat cells that are left are the ones that will grow and your body will not look great.

On the other hand, if you are doing a BBL and adding fat to your butt or another part of the body, they may not add volume to those areas since they have memory and may not bring volume because their memory tells them to grow on other parts of your body. So it is important to have more fat for the doctor to gather so that if other fat cells does not bring volume there will be other fat cells that may do.
